#1369 The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
"Massive Talent" is only the second film by writer/director Tom Gormican, whose only previous cinematic effort was 2014's "That Awkward Moment" - a rather average romantic comedy inexplicably starring not only Zac Efron, but also Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller and Mackenzie Davis. This time, he penned and shot a decidedly meta action comedy, though there is a bromance at the center of it. Here's the trailer:
And how did you like the film, which could only have worked with Nicolas Cage as the lead? How did you enjoy the references and callbackd to previous Cage films, mostly, but not all from his action resume? How did you like Pedra Pascal as shady superfan Javi, Sharon Horgan as Cages (ficticious) ex-wife Olivia, and Lilly Sheen (the real-life daughter of Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale) as his daughter Addy? Tell us what you thought of "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" in a reply to this posting.
