It was a decision between the nice dog(s) and the rather silly AI wolves and the bear, who's rear looked a bit like a jelly stuffed Samson from the German Sesamstrasse... I went for the dog(s) and so I am quite positive again, apart from some really far fetched moments which made it hard to believe (but hey, no caption "based on true events" hinted that this could be a wrong attitude towards the film), it was a suspensful ride (well, walk actually). Nice nature added to the positive take so I give it a solid 2...

Hallo allerseits,
mich erinnerte dieser Film frappierend an „The Grey“ (mit Liam Neeson) von 2012, nur mit Hund, beide Film tendierten auch zur Überdramatisierung der Wildtiere. Ansonsten ist ja von mir bekannt, daß Film mit Tieren in der Hauptrolle bei mir einen schweren Stand haben – aber ich fand „Heart of the Beast“ okay, wenn auch nicht sonderlich originell. Von daher halte ich eine „Drei“ für angemessen.
