"Red Rocket" is the latest film from indie filmmaker Sean Baker ("Tangerine", #1199 "The Florida Project"); Baker originally wanted to start a different project, but that couldn't be realized when the pandemic hit. With his screenwriting partner Chris Bergoch, he then came up with the idea for "Red Rocket", the story of a washed-up former porn star retuning to his Texas hometown, where almost no one would be glad that he's back.
