"Champions" is a remake of the Spanish film "Campeones", and by just looking at the trailer, they apparently haven't changed all that much:

Of course, the locations and actors are different as can be seen en the US trailer:

But apart from that, how did you like this underdog sports tale which clearly banks on it's one notable star, Woody Harrelson (with an extended cameo by Ernie Hudson)? How did you enjoy the direction by Bobby Farrelly, who last annoyed us with his remake of "The Three Stooges", but also directed the US version of #0567 "Fever Pitch" plus #0205 "There's Something About Mary" together with his brother Peter? Ein schwieriges Thema, man könnte sehr leicht krritisieren, dass die Behinderten (soweit das Wort noch erlaubt ist) der Lächerlichkeit preisgegeben wurden. Ich fand aber, dass es sich in Grenzen hielt und im Verlauf fast ganz verschwand und es sich auf deren Erfolge und Engagement am Spiel konzentrierte. Dazu eine Love Story, naja, muss wohl... Woody war OK in der Rolle und der Rest gab auch gute Leistung ab, so komme ich zu einem netten Urteil: nett
