#1273 Five Feet Apart

I start by explaining the dedication "for Claire" on which "Five Feet Apart" ends. Claire Wineland met "Five feet apart" director Justin Baldoni while filming for a TV doc called "My Last Days" which Baldoni hosted. Their conversations about living with CF (in Germany, that condition is known as "Mukoviszidose") were what started this movie project, and as you can read on Refinery23, she was a consultant for this production until her death last fall.
As I mentioned at the sneak, "Five Feet Apart" is Justin Baldonis feature film debut as a director; he's mostly known as a TV actor, where he most recently was part of the cast of primetime soap "Jane the Virgin" for five years. The script was also written by two first-timers; Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis together also wrote the horror movie "The Curse of La Llorona" which actually reached german screens seven weeks ago and thus before
"Five Feet Apart".
This is how the trailer looks like:
How did you like this newest entry into the sick teen romance subgenre? How did you enjoy the main actors, Haley Lu Richardson (who we first saw as one of the kidnapped girls in #1149 "Split") and Cole Sprouse (who made his sneak debut almost two decades ago as a kid alongside Adam Sandler in #0260 "Big Daddy")? How about the supporting cast, though apart from Moises Arias als "gay best friend" Poe and Kimberly Hebert Gregory als nurse Barb, none had any significant screentime? Just write down your thoughts about "Five Feet Apart" in a reply to this post - you don't have to put it in an envelope and push it through under any door.
