#1206 Game Night (2018)

Taking a break from all the heavy (and not-so-heavy) true-story drama, we got a straight Hollywood comedy this time. "Game Night" is the second directorial collaboration of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein after 2015's "Vacation" (Sneak #1073) sequel/remake. They wrote a couple of other comedies (among them "Horrible Bosses" and "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone") together, but "Game Night" is not credited to them, but to Mark Perez who wrote "Accepted" (#0646) and the dubious "Herbie Fully Loaded" more than a decade ago. It's a classic comedy of errors in the vein of "Date Night" mixed with a little bit of "We're the Millers" - and combined with last week's sneak, we've had a Jesse Plemons double feature - he played the neighbor/cop Gary this time, and was Roger Clark, lead attorney for "The Post" last week.
Here's the trailer for "Game Night":
How did you like this change of tune? Did you enjoy Jason Bateman and Rachel MacAdams as utra-competetive playing in way over their head? How about the supporting cast, including of course Kyle Chandler, Danny Huston and the aforementioned Jesse Plemons? Tell us what you thought of "Game Night" in a reply to this post - you don't even need $17 for that!
