How can you write something when it seems all words were spoken in a film? Haha, yeah, if I ever saw a talk movie this was it. But is that something negative, nope it is not. When dialogues (up to 4 participants, but as there wordn like "quadrologue" for this?) are so revealing in their proces and taking many surprising turns - this can be real fun and so it was for me. It also went by pretty quickly the 107 minutes were not felt like that.All 4 were doing a great job. The setting was set in one flat and the only breakout of this close environment wer e the short office bike ride scenes at the start and a short video of the flood when Seth knocked and stumbled...

Without any more words, I give this film a solid 2.

Hallo allerseits,
das war schon eine Menge Gequassel – aber so gefällt mir auch ein eigentlich typisch französischer Dialogfilm. Das ganze basierte auf einem spanischen Original von 2020 und wurde seitdem bereits siebenmal in anderen Sprachen – u.a. Italienisch, Tschechisch und Koreanisch – aufgelegt, bevor sich Olivia Wilde der Materie annahm. Der Film hätte auch ein Theaterstück werden können mit seiner Reduktion auf eine Wohnung als Spielfläche, doch das Setting war nebensächlich, denn alle Darsteller Wilde, Cruise, Rogen und Norton waren in bester Spiellaune und sorgten schon bevor die wahre Natur der „Einladung“ offenbar wurde, für einige Lacher, bevor der Film dann in seinen eigentlichen Plot einmündete. Dabei spielten Wilde und Rogen das Ehepaar in der Krise vorzüglich und auch Cruz and Norton als die „Verführer“ wurden ihrer Rolle gerecht. Ich fand, der Schluß hätte noch etwas prägnanter ausfallen können, war aber insgesamt sehr gut unterhalten - und vergebe am Ende eine „2 –„.
